Aku chips are AWESOME! But the Tako needs work. I’ve had lots better. I will not buy that selection again nor recommend it anyone. Tako texture was as expected from a chip company. But being SO dry, and pieces so small, it was an unplesant experience. Broke da’ mouth in a bad way. It’s worse than chewing rubber. I gave the bag to my dogs. They loved it. They chew rubber all the time.

We’re glad we ordered the sample pack first. That’s how we discovered the squid and aku. When I was small kid, we always shared squid to make jerky. And I always aloha aku - you can do anything with aku.

The taste could be stronger and the tako should be sliced thinner.

Since I’m not in Hawaii I thought I’d bring a little Hawaii to me. I really like that I can get the jerky treats sent to me. They are a delicious snacks.

Excellent Pupu Option

Punahele continues to produce great options for snacks and appetizers. The smoked tako may not be for everyone but everyone should try it once! Great taste that is not too strong. Texture may be a bit tough for some but I like it.
